Meet the Team

Jeffrey Braithwaite is a highly regarded Obstetrician and Gynaecologist based at 46 Wimpole Street and at the Portland Hospital. He opened his private practice in 1997 and has established his reputation largely through recommendations from one patient to another.

Alison assists Mr Braithwaite with his clinics and meets each patient after their consultation. Alison organises prescriptions, mammograms and other tests that are required, as well as organising Mr Braithwaite’s theatre lists at the Portland Hospital and she liaises with patients to ensure they have all of the information they need prior to admission. Alison also handles all of the invoicing from Mr Braithwaite’s practice and is an expert at dealing with the major insurance companies.

Amanda is responsible for Mr Braithwaite’s typing. Where possible Amanda will email results letters to patients and letters to GPs so that information is communicated as quickly as possible. Amanda also ensures that all of the emails sent to Mr Braithwaite are dealt with as quickly and accurately as possible. She also organises all of the bookings for our Obstetric patients at the Portland Hospital.

Monika assists Mr Braithwaite during examinations making sure all of the correct equipment is available. She ensures any samples are labelled accurately and sent to the lab for quick analysis. Monika is also responsible for the cleanliness of the clinic.

Jane has overall responsibility for the running of the practice. She manages the team and deals with any complaints or patient issues. Jane also liaises with the Care Quality Commission to ensure the practice meets the highest standards.

Mr Barnick is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist based privately at the Portland Hospital. Mr Barnick often assists Mr Braithwaite with his gynaecology operating list. Mr Braithwaite considers this to be best practice during complex procedures. Mr Barnick also covers Mr Braithwaite’s practice from time to time.

Tanusree is covering while Amanda is taking maternity leave. Tanusree is responsible for Mr Braithwaite’s typing. Where possible Tanusree will email results letters to patients and letters to GPs so that information is communicated as quickly as possible. Tanusree also ensures that all of the emails sent to Mr Braithwaite are dealt with as quickly and accurately as possible. She also organises all of the bookings for our Obstetric patients at the Portland Hospital.

Marilyn is the receptionist at 46 Wimpole Street. She greets patients and helps with coats and bags. She has a wonderful manner and really helps patients to relax. Marilyn escorts patients to see Mr Braithwaite at the appropriate time.
